Carolyn Ament is a creative, multidisciplinary designer specializing in custom hospitality, spa, retail and residential interiors. She has over 25 years of domestic and international experience working with some of the world’s most celebrated restaurateurs, hotel operators, and real estate developers. She specializes in creating and inspiring others to create distinctive, memorable and comprehensive design concepts that include all aspects of the built environment, from interior architecture to custom furnishings to lighting design and exterior building architecture.
Carolyn's sought-after combination of creativity, common sense, elegant design sensibilities, organizational and team building skills, programmatic knowledge and technical expertise leads to consistently excellent relationships with clients, contractors, vendors and colleagues. Working independently or as a studio leader, she takes projects, small or large, from inception to completion.

Carolyn Ament has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and is a licensed Architect in New York State. Her work for Tihany Design and Ament Design has been published in various magazines and newspapers including The Robb Report, The New York Times, Metropolis, Architectural Record, Hotel World Asia, Hospitality Design, Interior Design, Interiors, Time Out New York and elsewhere.
